Sõbrapäev 2008 / Valentine's Day Swap

Olid ajad, kui tekkis mõte, et prooviks ka mõnda projekti vedada. Et kas on väga hull. Ja idee tekkis tänu sellele, et Kullakestes läks lahti arutelu, et võiks ju olla sõbrapäeva pakivahetus ja keegi võiks vedada ja... Ei näinud just kätemetsa kerkimas, peaks mainima. Aga et projekt vedamata ei jääks, kargasingi ise esile.

Ei olnud hullu midagi, kuigi küsimused keerasin hästi sügavamõtteliseks - no et pakitegijatel oleks rohkem võimalusi midagi tõeliselt sõbralikku ja armsat kokku pakkida.

Mina sain loosiga (erapooletu fortuuna, kusjuures!) Kalakajaka, kellele oli väga lihtne pakki teha - no kui ikke inimesega on korra ühes lauas söödud ja pikemat aega tema blogi loetud, siis pole sääl midagi keerulist. Ja tundub, et adressaat jäi ülirahule - kui lugeda tema kommentaare pärast paki kättesaamist.


Ise sain paki Tiinalt ja pakk toodi kohe uksest ukseni... peenelt niiviisi. Suures gerberatega kotis olid väga uhke keraamiline sõela ja kaanega teekruus, kruusile sobiv pehme veinipunane ja roosidega kruusisoojendaja, kera tamsanööri ja pakike pärleid makramee jaoks, tahvel tumedat tšillišokolaadi ja peotäis piparmündi-šokolaadi iiriseid (ilmselgetel põhjustel puuduvad pildilt). Sõbrapäeva erinumbrina oli kotikaunistuseks nunnu mõmmiku pilt ja pakis südamekujuline helkur (oi, kus ma fännan igasuguseid helkureid!)


It all started with a "click" in the back of my head, when I volunteered to manage a swap-project for Valentine's day. The hardest part was to choose more open and inspiring questions so the packers get more information about their secret Valentines. The project went well, indeed.

My secret friend was Kalakajakas and it was really easy to choose the items for her package since I have been a regular reader of her blog (and we have had a dinner at Indian restaurant Elevant for a while ago). Thanks to the package swap I had a chance to try one pattern from Vogue Stitchionary Vol 2: Cables AND to find perfect use for one strange yarn I had bought from a second-hand booth in Jaama market. Added some sequins and voila - a tea-cosy happened to keep a small coffee-pot warm.

I received a very inspiring and lovely package from Tiina. She also had an idea to make a tea-cosy and it was dark red woollen crocheted piece with three large roses on top... marvellous! She also took my interest in macrame into consideration and packed a small sachet of wooden pearls with a skein of string. Chili chocolate and mint-chocolate toffees (missing from the picture due to obvious reasons...) were also extremely welcome. Perfect parcel and delivered from door to door.
